The Learning Games

by Instructor, Carol S. Gossett

The Learning Games are designed to give the children practice in the basic skills they have been taught through the Classroom Pracitice Unit. The games are duplicated on white card stock. It is suggested that the teacher color and laminate the games for extended use. The learning games are designed to be used either at literacy centers, in small groups, or whole class. Lesson plans are included to give a variety of uses for each game format.

Basic skills practiced through the games include: Tracking left to right, Asking a question and making a statement, Recognition and Naming of Colors, Rhyming, and more. Four different learning games are included with lesson plans to use the games in many different ways. Pictured are: Gingerbread Man Colors - Zip Around, Initial Consonants/Sound Picture Match Gameboards, and Gingerbread Man Rhymes With Fan - Zip Around. Also included, but not pictured, Breezing Down With Rhyming Sounds Gameboards for Literacy Centers.
